Appian (NASDAQ: APPN) announced the winners of its International Partner Awards at its annual AppianEUROPE conference in London, UK. The awards recognise Appian’s top-performing partners in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) for their ability to deliver transformative applications on Appian’s Low-Code Automation platform.

“These awards recognise and celebrate our international partners for their success in delivering and scaling high-impact transformation on our platform,” said Erik de Haas, VP Alliances for EMEA and APAC at Appian. “The competition keeps getting fiercer. I am pleased to say that the number and quality of award entries this year set a new bar.”

My co-founder Fred Steinberg and I spent an evening alongside our long time partners and colleagues from Appian at the Appian 2019 International Partner Awards dinner. The event was held at the amazing City Social in London with what I can only imagine to be one of the best views of the London skyline at night. I had never experienced London quite like this before, it was both surreal and humbling.

We were in the presence of a very select group of companies that were selected to receive their awards in recognition of their contributions to the success of Appian and their customers. These companies included convedo, KPMG France and PwC Slovakia. I recall very clearly looking over to my colleague and saying, "Do you realise where we are?". He looked at me expecting me to state the obvious. Not waiting for him to respond I continued, "We are in the presence of giants..."! It dawned on me that our small and very young consulting firm, not yet 4 years old at the time, had managed to gain a seat at the main table in a relatively short period. Needless to say we were humbled, honoured and most of all, thankful.

We often forget to lift our heads out of the trenches to have a look at how far we've come and at what we have accomplished. The evening allowed us to do just that. It gave us the opportunity to celebrate and reflect and to find the resolve to improve on what we have built so far. It also reminded me that we still have a long way to go...we were in the presence of giants after all!

The evening was filled with Michelin star dining and copious amounts of wine "tasting" only to be complemented by engaging and insightful discussions with our colleagues at Appian and the other esteemed partners that were present. It was certainly a night to remember.

We would not have been here if it weren't for the unwavering support from our colleagues at Appian. It is has been an incredible journey and an honour and a pleasure to work so closely with so many of the wonderful people at Appian. We continue to learn and grow as Appian grows from strength to strength and look forward to many more years of this to come. A special mention to Marc Wilson, Ryan Gates, Erik de Haas and Fabian Thal - your trust and support has been unwavering, we thank you for this!

It would be an incredible oversight of me not to mention all the wonderful people at I Am App. This endeavour would have been short lived if we didn't have you with us. I look forward to facing many more challenges together.

Lastly, I would like to thank all our customers who took a leap of faith on us. We are very grateful for your support and partnership. We promise to continue to strive for excellence and keep your success top of mind at all times. Your success is our success.
